# ScoutLens

> ScoutLens is an independent explainable football scouting application by Dilip Badal. It ranks candidates for a club, position and role across Europe's five major leagues and supports interactive two-player comparisons.

Uses historical 2024/25 and 2025/26 season aggregates, not live squads. Fit scores are weighted positional percentiles with optional possession similarity, not transfer-success probabilities. Formation is planning context and does not affect scoring. Missing required metrics exclude candidates. Photos and Football Manager game ratings do not influence ranking. Third-party data and photos retain their own rights; the combined dataset has no blanket reuse license.
